Ingredients
1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
1 cup ice cubes
1 cup fat free milk
1/4 cup Edy's or Dryer's No Sugar Added Vanilla Ice Cream
1 Tbsp. sugar free caramel syrup
(We used Smucker's Sugar Free Sundae Syrup.)
1 Tbsp. Splenda
2 Tablespoons 100% whey protein powder
(We used GNC 100% Whey Protein Vanilla.)
The Starbucks version of this drink has a staggering 45 grams of sugar and only 5 grams of protein. By making a few changes, our version has only about 15 grams of sugar and almost 19 grams of protein. All in a delicious 235 calorie after workout shake.
1. Brew the coffee first, then cool it down in the refrigerator. When you're ready, combine everything in a blender and mix until smooth.
