2 cups coffee, strong (instant or brewed)
2/3 cup Splenda
(We used the box that measures cup for cup like sugar.)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. cinnamon, ground
1/2 tsp. nutmeg, ground
2 scoops (2/3 cup) protein powder
(We used GNC Pro Performance 100% Why Protein Vanilla Flavor.)
2 cups fat free milk
1. Put the coffee in a saucepan and bring heat up to medium. The whisk in each of the remaining ingredients EXCEPT the milk. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Then whisk in the milk.
2. If you want to serve it cold, once the milk is mixed in, pour it into a pitcher and store in the refrigerator. If you use lactaid free milk, it should keep for at least a week. (You can also heat up this drink from the refrigerator in the microwave and enjoy it hot.)
3, If you want to serve it hot, increase heat to medium high and keep stirring for about 2 more minutes. Serve immediately. Do not bring to a full boil or you risk scalding the milk.
