Ingredients


6 Cans (6 oz each) low sodium tuna in water

7 1/2 Tbsp. fat free Miracle Whip

1/2 cup chopped yellow onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

4 Tbsp. sweet relish drained

1 Tbsp. yellow mustard

2 slices of bread per serving (For caloric breakdown we used Arnold 100% Whole Wheat 9 Grain Bread.)

1/2 Tbsp. fat free Miracle Whip on each slice of bread


This recipe is extremely low in fat and high in protein, but it is also higher in sodium. You should only make this recipe with low-sodium tuna. The brand we used for reference was Chicken of the Sea 50% Less Sodium Chunk Light Tuna in Spring Water.

1. Mix all the ingredients together.

2. Toast bread (preferably something like a 9 grain bread).

3. Spread 1/2 Tbsp. Miracle Whip on each slice of bread. Place 1/2 cup Tuna Fish (1 serving) on one slice of bread and top with the second slice of bread. Cut in half and serve.

Yield: 8 Servings
